Soccer Field Diagram- Learn To Design Practice Plans
Have you ever thought about using a soccer field diagram in order to devise practice sessions as they are of great value? The importance of documenting the plans carved out for the training season has already been discussed earlier. It gives a lot of flexibility in terms of making any changes in the plan as and when required.
When you decide soccer formations for your players, make it a point that they already have full knowledge about the soccer field along with its different dimensions.
Firstly, it's your duty as a coach to select as to what would be the agenda of the training session. Do this while keeping in mind as to what needs to be educated, when, and where? When you have decided what you wish to teach, you will then get to the details of various techniques and skills to be imparted.
The area of the filed which you wish to use for the session must be assigned. You must also write down the cause that motivated you to take up one particular skill to teach. This can be something like its application or the prospective benefits. Another important feature is to note down the event when the skills will be applied.
After everything stated above has been done, draw everything on the soccer field diagram. This diagram should depict the goal box, penalty box, the end line, and the arcs where the flags are placed along with the centerline and circle.
Then the next thing to do in deciding the soccer positions is the requirement of the practice gear for the session. Now give all the players a ball each. Tell every player to get his own ball. In addition, they should carry their own water bottles to the field.
Use cones to demarcate the various areas on the field. These also help in organizing various soccer drills. The players should also wear practice vests that are helpful in protecting and also giving each player a different identity.
Next is the use of goal boxes. Use the flags too as they help in scrimmages. Arrange for a first aid kit that has sufficient medical supplies.
Lastly, have the refreshments stocked. Ice cubes will also be required and therefore a cooler to store the cubes. It is advisable that you keep a cell phone also which will be useful in arranging help in case of a medical emergency.
Now, go ahead and incorporate your learning in a soccer field diagram. Afterwards, make a practice session in accordance with it. Our youth soccer coaching community boasts of a range of soccer resources for your and your player's benefit.

Training (soccer practice) with a weight vest?
hi. Im 17, 6'1, 160 lbs.
Ive got a weight vest thats pretty secure and its got pockets so you can add from 1 to 20 lbs. on it. I wanted to wear it for our soccer practices on the days when we dont have a game the following day
most of our practices are light drills and then a scrimmage. Long story short, im faster and stronger than everyone on my team and have more endurance so its not like wearing this will make me uncompetitive.
my question is will adding like 4 lbs, two on the front and two on the back, be too much weight to play with?
Im worried about the sharp turns and hard acceleration/decelleration and the impact during sprints on my knees. is there a chance the extra weight will make me pull something or hurt something?
if it wares you down a lot to have too much weight youll be straining your boddy, choose an inbetween weight that you feel comfy with and that you know isnt too light. this will overall improve your speed because your body will adjust to the extra weight. but for your knees and muscle not to give out for excess weight you should strech more than usual or more than the team and you shouldnt over do it in the weights.
