Sony VAIO VGN-SZ270P Notebook
Do you want power, great looks, and prestige? The Sony VAIO SZ laptop might be your answer. This thin and light device comes packed with portable energy, a stylish design, and loads of features, while maintaining a light and thin profile. These attributes should certainly appeal to most company users who demand energy and portability inside a package. The fastest model available uses Intel's Core Duo T2500, clocked at 2.0GHz with other models obtainable in 1.86GHz. It's also equipped with 1GB DDR2 (supporting up to 2GB) RAM, up to a 120GB 5400RPM difficult drive, along with a beautiful 13.3-inch widescreen LCD with XBRITE technology.
Powering the sleek display is really a Hybrid Graphics System, allowing you to switch between a discrete NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphics chip and integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.. It also doesn't fall short in the communication spectrum, with built-in Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth and even Broad Area Network (WWAN) to help you surf on the internet anywhere with cellular coverage. With these specs, one may find this machine ideal for both travel and as a desktop replacement, but the SZ weighs less than 4 pounds! However, with the amount of great things going for it, there are a few drawbacks that we'll discuss in this review. This smooth machine is available in two versions: The SZ Premium design, which sports a Carbon Fiber case weighing three.7 pounds along with a razor thin LCD panel, and also the standard SZ design which is wrapped inside a magnesium alloy case and weighs 4.1 pounds. Speaking from my personal preference, this laptop computer fits the profile both being a perfect work machine for house and on the run. Add the optional docking station for additional connectivity including much more USB ports and DVI to convert it into a portable desktop replacement device. Obviously, for a premium laptop, expect to pay a premium price. The lowest design sells for close to $1800 and the costliest configurations can reach up to $2600.
Mobility is in demand, especially for those who travel frequently where each ounce matters. Classified as thin-and-light, the VAIO SZ excels in portability. Measuring 12.5-inches broad, 9.3-inches long and only .9-inches thick in front section and extending 1.3-inches thick towards the back, this slim notebook is made to slip very easily inside most laptop computer carry cases or backpacks. At three.72 pounds with the standard battery, the VAIO SZ (Premium) is intended to accompany you wherever you go, best suited for heavy travelers for example students and business professionals. Even the 4.1 pound regular SZ design won't break your back.
In the past, I haven't been as well fond of Sony's keyboard comfort degree using the exception from the A series. However, the keyboard high quality about the SZ has improved. The keyboard layout offers a spacious area for typing, with large-sized keys to prevent any kind of cramping or even mistyping. I can type quickly, accurately, and quite comfortably. In fact, I'm typing this evaluate on it right now. The keys aren't mushy or stiff by any means, but they don't offer the exact same kind of 'soft' and 'quiet' comfort-level feel on the keyboard in the Apple MacBook Pro. Thanks towards the 3mm key level depth, it offers adequate depression levels to ensure a much better typing experience. Noise generation is really a bit loud when typing. Overall, this keyboard is sufficient for my level of typing, but doesn't match the high quality levels of the MacBook Pro or ThinkPads.
The touchpad measures 2.6-inches wide and 2.3-inches in length, offering sufficient area area to permit comfortably gliding of one's finger. The silver flush area is clean and smooth, sensitive to touch and responds accurately to movement. As with most touch pads, it also allows for tapping to execute an action if you prefer not to use the click buttons. You can also drag objects about the screen using this touchpad.Right edge of the area region, the touchpad has a function to scroll vertically. This allows you to scroll in applications like Internet Explorer when sliding your finger in the appropriate direction.

Thailand Trip for 13 days, how big of a duffel should I get?
I'm going over to Thailand for about 2 weeks and I need a good wheeled duffel but I don't know what Sz works well for getting around airports and will also have plenty of room. So anyone with some advise would be awsome!!!
So here's what I'm lookin at, 30", 36", 42"
it all really depends on what you are doing there? what kind of traveling are you doing? are you staying put in one or two places or actually moving around while you are there. a wheeled duffle bag is fine if you are taking cabs, staying in hotels and not traveling throughout the country. otherwise i'd say get a backpack. the idea of luggage with wheels is great however if you are using public transit, and traveling at all it is a pain in the ass. the key is also pack as little as possible. get all of the stuff you are planning to take and edit half. i know from expereince...you will overpack and never wear half of what you brought..i've dumped cloths at hostels because it was driving me nuts.
